Jane Doe, our current student of the month, was voted for here at bowie high school. Many students voted for her as the April student of the month because they felt that she deserved this title due to her actions and the way she treats other students and teachers.
James Bowie High Schools own John Doe has just won the Student of the Month Award for this april. This award is a very honored award that only the most determined students can receive the award in the Bowie competition. Teachers nominate their most hardworking students and then the students are sent to be judged. The students are then judged by a group of Bowie administration members who will read each students file. Then, based off this information, the judges will determine one overall winner.
Many of Bowie's students are talented, but only one student can win this award. John Doe, a freshmen here at Bowie, received the award Friday April 15th through the loud speaker so all his friends could embrace him. A letter was then sent home so his parents could help bask in the glory too.
Winning such an honorable award with so many nominations took a lot of work for Doe, "I try to set myself apart from the rest of the crowd be taking part in as many extracurricular activities." But John also focuses a lot on homework and school work. "I'm a very organized person to begin with, so I like to test my limits by balancing all my work and the clubs as a fun challenge" he says to our reporter.

"I try my best to be a clear role model in all the areas I'm involved in," he explains, "including in my home life". John Doe has a sister here at bowie who also shed some light on the type of person that John is.
"He's the best brother a gal could have," Jane Doe exclaims, "he constantly shows that he wants to help both my mom. He does things only with other peoples best interests at heart."
Although, John only gets recognition for the month of april, his peers say that he still will affect them in the long run.
