Africa and Theme Parks

Africa

1. In reading this, my eyes were opened to how amazing these animals are. Not only that, but I also know about the dangers that they faced. I can't imagine a world where they wouldn't be here.
2. Image result for nick brandt
3. In this photo we see an elephant with dust coming off of it. This is just a pleasing photo, to the eye, but I like it because it really captures the elephant in its domain.
4. Its very obvious that he uses simplicity. It's very obvious what the subject is and there is nothing else to distract us from that subject.
5. Nick uses a pentax 67 camera with a modified lens. this lens allows his to take softer pictures which makes it appeal to the viewer,
6. Nick takes these photos so when all the animals die off, we will have some really good pictures of their behavior.
7. Nick hopes that we will be a lot more careful so we prolong these animals lives.
8. "My images are unashamedly idyllic and romantic, a kind of enchanted Africa. They're my elegy to a world that is steadily, tragically vanishing."

Abandoned Theme Parks

1. Out of all the parks, Nara Dreamland seemed the most interesting. To me, just looking at the pictures they provided, there is so much more about that park that should be photographed. Much more of the "personality" of the park. Also, it helps that a good number of the ideas are still intact. Same with some of the stores and other attractions.
2.
3. I think and abandoned theater, an abandoned hospital, an abandoned school, an abandoned hotel, and an abandoned prison.
4.
5. I think an abandoned prison would be cool to visit. At this location I expect to get a lot of really good/ borderline creepy photos. I really enjoy the whole idea of something that used to have a story being completely abandoned. Just imagine all of the lives it helped, just to rot like any other useless thing. Everything intrigues me about this.
